In the heart of Izmir, Turkey, stands Saint Polycarp Church — a sacred witness to nearly four centuries of Catholic faith and endurance. Severely damaged by the devastating earthquake of 2020, this historic church faced what seemed to be insurmountable destruction. Yet, thanks to the generous support of donors and the enduring prayers of the faithful, the work of restoration began. Today, although the full restoration is still underway, the major repairs have been completed, and Saint Polycarp Church has once again opened her doors for worship. The parish community, with hearts full of gratitude, now gathers once more under her venerable roof, lifting prayers to Heaven from the same place where generations before have done the same. This video captures the journey from ruin to renewal — a testimony to the resilience of the Church and the enduring providence of God, who never abandons His people.
